Fudo alternatives: three options and what each one publishes

If you are looking at what exists besides Fudo, this is what the sites of the three most common alternatives in Argentina say — domangia, Bistrosoft and Maxirest — and also what Fudo does well, which is why many restaurants stay.

What Fudo does well, and why many restaurants stay

An alternatives page that does not open here is a brochure. These are the real reasons not to move.

  • Documented electronic invoicing

Issuing through ARCA, and Epson and Hasar fiscal printers with specific models listed. In Argentina it is a separate add-on at ARS 13.500.

  • Card payments with published rates

    Own terminal at a one-off ARS 79.900; debit 2.79 % + VAT, credit 5.99 % + VAT and instalments 3.99 % + VAT. Plus Mercado Pago QR.

  • Eight delivery apps

PedidosYa, Uber Eats, Rappi, DiDi Food, Justo, Mas Delivery, Loveat and Rapiboy, as a separate add-on.

  • Unlimited users on all three plans

And it says so verbatim: there is no extra cost per device. That is not a reason to leave, and it is worth stating because the opposite gets repeated.

  • Open help and regional reach

Open help centre, an academy, own sites in seven countries and Brazil as a separate brand.

When staying with Fudo is the right call

Three clear cases. If you are in one of them, switching will cost you more than it gains you.

  • If your invoicing runs through a fiscal printer

Issuing from the system is something all three do: Bistrosoft, Maxirest and domangia too, which charges it as a separate add-on. The fiscal printer is another matter, and domangia does not drive one. And what you do not get back by switching is the work already done: the printer configured, the points of sale registered and the routine learned.

  • If you take cards on the Fudo terminal

Changing the system and the acquirer at once is two migrations in one, and the second one touches the day’s till.

  • If delivery apps are the bulk of your sales

Fudo integrates eight apps. Maxirest publishes six; Bistrosoft, two with native integration; domangia, none.

When domangia is the right pick

Four reasons to look at ours, with the usual warning: if you need to invoice, take card payments or receive PedidosYa and Rappi orders from the same system, domangia is not the answer.

  • If you want to be able to work out the total

It is the one thing none of the other three allows. Fudo sends you to sales for multi-venue and does not price two add-ons in Argentina; Bistrosoft says "starting at" on all three plans and prices none of its four extra licences; Maxirest publishes one price and mentions three more plans with none. Here every price is published and served by the same catalogue that bills you.

  • If you want to try it without talking to anyone

30 days and no card. Fudo publishes up to 14 consecutive days in its Terms; Bistrosoft and Maxirest publish no free trial.

  • If you do not want to be tied to Windows

Maxirest requires Windows 10 or 11 Professional 64-bit. domangia runs in the browser on the device you already have.

  • If you want to connect your AI assistant to the business

You ask ChatGPT or Claude about your sales, your stock or your kitchen times, and it comes with the base plan. None of the other three sites says it connects to ChatGPT or Claude.

The tables, and why we do not convert currencies

domangia is priced in US dollars. Fudo publishes in US dollars and in Argentine pesos; Bistrosoft and Maxirest, in pesos. Every amount is shown in the currency its owner publishes it in. Converting would mean picking an exchange rate and a date, and the result would go stale in a week while still looking like a hard number. Peso amounts keep the source formatting — a dot as the thousands separator — and carry an ARS prefix so they cannot be read as dollars.

The three alternatives, with what each one publishes

The data comes from each product’s own site. "Their site does not say" means we could not find it published.

Item domangia Bistrosoft Maxirest

Maxirest One: list ARS 86.000, promotional ARS 65.000 a month with 25 % off for three months. The only price on the site.
Plans or licences with no price None. Bistro Móvil, Salón, Cocina and Facturación: four extra licences, none with a price. Xpress, Pro and Point appear in its technical requirements, with no price.

What none of the four sites answers

If you are about to ask for a quote, these are the questions that spare you the surprise.

  • Fudo: what multi-venue costs, and what the Kitchen Monitor and Tu Delivery cost in Argentina.
  • Fudo: whether "Delivery Apps" in Argentina covers all three apps or is billed per app.
  • Bistrosoft: what sits behind the "starting at" on each plan, and what its four extra licences cost.
  • Bistrosoft: which payment terminals it integrates; its page shows the logos without naming them.
  • Maxirest: whether the price includes VAT — its page says both things — and what delivery costs from day 181 on.
  • Maxirest: what Xpress, Pro and Point cost.
  • Fudo and Bistrosoft: the year they were founded. Maxirest does publish it: 1991.

"Their site does not say" means exactly that: we could not find it published. It does not mean they do not have it.

Frequently asked questions

What are the alternatives to Fudo in Argentina?

The three most common are Bistrosoft, Maxirest and domangia. Bistrosoft publishes three plans with "starting at" prices; Maxirest publishes a single plan and has the largest field support network; domangia publishes the price of every module, issues electronic invoices through ARCA as a separate add-on, and does not process card payments. Verified on September 10, 2026.

Which one is cheaper than Fudo?

That cannot be answered honestly, and that is the point of this page: of the four, only one lets you work out the total of a complete setup. Fudo does not price multi-venue; Bistrosoft says "starting at" on all three plans; Maxirest contradicts itself about VAT. Each product’s prices are in the tables above, exactly as they publish them.

Does any alternative issue electronic invoices?

All three do. In Bistrosoft, per the footnote on its page, the module is included only in Licencia Web. In Maxirest it is included in the price. domangia issues through ARCA — invoice, credit note and debit note, each with its CAE — as a separate add-on, one at a time or in batches; it does not drive fiscal printers or controllers.

Does any of them work without internet?

Maxirest: its point of sale is installed and runs locally, and its Terms say so. Bistrosoft's site does not say. domangia needs a connection.

Which one connects to ChatGPT or Claude?

domangia, and it comes with the base plan. None of the other three sites says it connects to ChatGPT or Claude: Fudo publishes an AI Receptionist add-on and an API on its Pro plan, and Bistrosoft an API on Premium.

How long is each free trial?

domangia: 30 days and no card. Fudo: up to 14 consecutive days, per its Terms. Bistrosoft and Maxirest publish no free trial.
