Connect with AI

The only restaurant management system that connects to your AI assistant

Connect ChatGPT or Claude to domangia and ask it, in plain English, about sales, stock, kitchen times or bookings. It is not our assistant: it is yours, looking at your live data. It comes with the base plan, at no extra charge.

What you can ask it

None of these questions is a staged demo: each one maps to something the system offers the assistant the moment you connect it.

You ask

It answers

"How much did I sell this month against last month, and which dishes dropped?"

It compares both periods dish by dish: total, difference and which ones fell.

"Which ingredients am I going to run out of this weekend?"

It reads current stock against what recent weekends consumed and lists the ones that will not last.

"Which dishes take more than 20 minutes to leave the kitchen?"

It pulls the times from the kitchen display and ranks them from slowest to fastest.

"Which days and hours is my revenue concentrated in?"

It spreads sales across weekday and hour of the day, like a heat map, so you can see where the workload piles up.

"How much came in as cash this week, and how much on card?"

It breaks takings down by payment method — cash, debit, credit, transfer, QR — with a total for each.

"Do I have room for six people on Friday at nine?"

It checks floor availability for that date and tells you which times have room and how many seats are left.

"How is the Belgrano branch doing against Palermo?"

It compares both on the same metrics, in the same answer.

All of it from what is in your business right now, not the spreadsheet someone exported last week.

What it can answer is what your business has subscribed to: sales and payment questions come with the base plan, while kitchen, stock and bookings need their module. See what the base plan covers and what is billed separately

How it works, concretely

  1. 1

Open Developers, the "Connect with AI" tab

It lives in the panel, under the Account group. That is where you pick which assistant to connect and what it will be allowed to see.

  2. 2

Copy the address and paste it into your assistant

In ChatGPT or Claude you add it as a remote MCP server. The assistant is the one that starts the connection — none of them can be set up from the outside — and when it is done it brings you back to the panel to approve.

  3. 3

    Ask it

In plain English, the way you would write to a person. There are no commands to learn and no report names to memorise.

Underneath, domangia exposes an MCP server — Model Context Protocol — the open standard ChatGPT and Claude use to connect to third-party systems. It is not an integration built for one particular assistant: if another one that speaks MCP shows up tomorrow, it works the same, with nothing for us to change.

What it can and cannot do

These limits are not a promise in the small print: they sit in the server and are checked on every call.

  • Never more than you can do

The assistant inherits the permissions of whoever connected it, and they are checked on every single call. Take reports away from that person tomorrow and the assistant loses them too, without anyone touching the connection.

  • It looks, it does not touch

Taking payment, opening or closing the till, deleting data, changing users or touching billing are out of reach for any connection, even with everything enabled. It connects to ask, not to change.

  • Every question is logged

Each call leaves a line with the tool, the moment and the outcome, and what was queried is not copied into any other table. Cut the connection and it stops answering at once.

  • You cut it whenever you want

From the same panel where you connected it, and it takes effect at once: the assistant’s next call fails. The log of what it already asked stays visible.

  • We do not use your data to train anything

Not yours and not any other business’s. What the assistant you choose — ChatGPT, Claude or any other — does with what it receives depends on that provider’s plan and terms, not on us: that part is answered in their policy, not ours.

Why no other system in the region does this

It is not a feature you add in one sprint. For an outside assistant to be able to query one business and not another, three things have to be settled in the design of the system.

  • The data has to live in the cloud and be separated per business

A system installed on the computer in the venue has nothing to answer an assistant that sits outside it. And if every business shares one database without a separation the engine itself enforces, opening a query from outside opens the door to everyone’s data.

  • Permissions have to live in the data, not on the screen

If the only thing stopping a supervisor is that we do not show them the button, an assistant querying through another route has no button to hide. Here the permission is evaluated server-side on every call: the assistant can never do more than the person who connected it.

  • There has to be an audit trail per query

Without a record of what was asked, when and with what outcome, nobody can answer afterwards what the assistant saw. A system that does not even audit the queries of its own screens cannot start auditing them the day it adds a connection.

The real difference is what the product is. The others sell a bot of their own, answering what they decided it should answer and only from their screen. There is no bot of ours here: it is your assistant, with your data, answering what you ask it.

What it costs

Nothing extra. Connecting your assistant comes with the base plan: it is not a module, there is nothing to subscribe to and it adds nothing to the monthly bill. What does move the amount are the modules you use and any branches beyond the first.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to pay for ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro?

On our side there is no extra cost: connecting your assistant comes with the domangia base plan. On the assistant side there is: today both ChatGPT and Claude offer MCP connections only on their paid plans. That cost is theirs, you pay it where you already have the account, and we neither charge nor resell it.

Do I need to know how to code to connect it?

No. The panel walks you through three steps: pick the assistant, pick what it will be allowed to see, and copy an address to paste. The setup happens on the assistant side, because none of them can be configured from the outside, and there it is a couple of clicks too. If instead of ChatGPT or Claude you are connecting a tool of your own, the technical detail is on the same screen.

Can the assistant take payment, close the till or change anything?

No, and it is not a setting anyone can flip. Taking payment, opening or closing the till, deleting data, touching users, roles or billing, and creating new connections are out of reach for any connection, even with every permission ticked. The assistant queries; your team still makes the decisions.

Can it see another business’s data?

No. Which business the assistant enters is decided by your approval, not by anything it sends: even if it explicitly asks for another organisation’s information, it gets nothing. The separation is enforced by the database, not by screen code, so it does not depend on a developer remembering to filter.

Can I connect an employee’s assistant without handing over the whole business?

Yes. The assistant inherits the permissions of the person who connected it and they are checked on every call: a supervisor who cannot see sales reports cannot see them through their assistant either. And if you take that permission away from the role tomorrow, the connection stops returning them without anyone touching it. On top of that, when you connect you choose which part of those permissions to enable.

What happens if I cut the connection?

It stops answering at once: the next call fails and the assistant cannot request anything else. The conversation you already had stays in that assistant’s history, like any other chat of yours with it, and you manage that from its own app. In your panel you keep the log of what was queried while it was connected.

Which restaurant management systems connect to ChatGPT or Claude?

As far as we know, domangia is the only one in the region. When the others offer anything AI-related, it is a bot of their own inside their product: it answers what they decided and only from their screen. Connecting the assistant you already use, with your permissions and your live data, is a different thing. If you find another system that does it, write to us and we will correct this answer.

The connection is the same in all five. What changes is what you will ask it.

  • Restaurants

Floor, kitchen and till looking at the same order, from starter to dessert.

  • Cafés

High turnover and small tickets: you charge fast and the bar sees everything.

  • Bars and breweries

Separate tickets for bar and kitchen, with the tab open per table.

  • Food trucks

No install and no cables: it runs from a phone, wherever you park.

  • Ice cream shops

Flavours, sizes and toppings without the queue grinding to a halt.
